First skating lessons...

I feel kinda like a bad mother, maybe its because I should have done this long time ago. For any one else I would say its not a must but seeing my life was figure skating for like 13 years and teaching was something I helped out and did for almost 8 of it , this was way over due. Hayden couple weeks ago went to a hockey game with his Uncle Matt. He loved it and has been asking to go play hockey ever since .. so I finally took him up on it and strapped on my old skates ( which killed my feet) then headed with Auntie Kaya who also figure skated to the rink to teach Hayden how to skate or I should say stand up! He did pretty good , much better then some of the kids I use to teach. He could stand by himself and seemed to have pretty good balance BUT he was a little upset that he could not play hockey and cried most of the way home... we just kept telling him ... you have to learn how to skate first!  I'm going to be honest I don't think I will be taking him anytime soon again I secretly don't want him to like anything about the ice rink... is that bad of me?

No, that's not bad of you. Hockey is an expensive sport that involves a lot of practices, traveling, and Sundays away from church. Encourage skating, but hockey is just a fun side note haha.
