Christmas 2012...playing catch up..

This post is going back into time .. a really long time ago , cause I have so much catching up to do and im determined to do it now .. while my house is cleaned .. and my kids are sleeping .. so im taking you back to yes a year ago last Christmas.. so far warning it going to be full of photos .. and not lot of anything else cause I cant remember anything from a year ago... haha so will start with Aunt Mics birthday , we wanted to do something fun for her birthday cause it was they big 18... so we arranged for the whole family to head up to a hotel in Calgary that had a great water park for the kids and a buffet Breakfast for my Dad.. cant go on a holiday with him and not have a good breakfast. Mic went up with my parents for a birthday day trip ..  she had no idea we were all hiding in a random room .. my mom said she was going to visit someone she new that was down staying here and when they walked in we all yelled surprise .. it was a fun weekend.. swimming with the cousins and eating yummy food...

Then we head into Christmas , It was out last Christmas at our little house .. and this year we felt the need to take apart in having a real Christmas tree... so we dragged everyone out to Home Depot .. and off we went up and dow the isles .. letting the boys pick out the perfect tree...

and we walked up and down and up and down ...until finally...

Dad said were getting this one and grabbed one...

we thought the hard part was over ....and it had really only began..but the boys were super excited

Dad not so much .. cause we had to get it home now .. 

and everything always seems easy said then done right ?

But we did manage to get it home , and leave it to fall overnight .... then came the annual decorating celebration .. this is when my parents come over , we eat  yummy snacks listen to Christmas mood and decorate the tree.. There is always a fight .. someone always gets mad... the kids are always to loud and almost always we forget something .. like out white lights are burnt out , or we have to run to the store for hooks .. Every year it happens ....and this year was bad we had to fit everyone in out tin living room ..

and the real miracle was that Dad even helped put lights on the tree ...

 and you have got to love the flattering photo taking from Hayden .. yep these are the most amazing photos .. double chin up the nose and wide eyed and all...

But we finally got the tree up and all done .. and ready for all the activities to start for the Christmas session

DEC 2012 IN A NUTSHELL

we started it off with the ward Christmas party and family dance ...where...

Grayson found his true love ....

and its not a christmas party with Santa ..

Then we did some baking and wrapping presents .. cause i attended a cookie exchange and was busy hosting a favourite things party...

and Santa sent us our very own elf on a shelf .. we named hims Weazley and the kids loved having him apart of our family...

 and we got some Beautiful weather , which made me super excited cause i got to go out and snap some photos ...

we also go invited to go carolling with the Hubbard family ...

 and we finished the evening off with a nativity with all the kids .. it was so cute ...

Plus we went to the live Nativity .. which was freezing like always .. 

Then came Christmas eve we packed up the food and the presents .. got our over night bags packed up and headed to Grandma Thoms for the party ..

and santa this year made a surprise stop at our house .. the kids were so excited ... 

Abbi was the only one not so excited to see him...

and maybe Uncle Matt...

then the time came to get ready for bed ... and to open 1 present .. what would it be?

and in the morning we waited for Great grandma to walk over so we could open up present ...

and then Aunt Ginny came into town for supper and  to visit ...

After the Excitement of Christmas morning we packed everyone up and headed out to Magrath , for more excitement with all out cousins ..
